Who we are

Pop Dot is a brand of Pop Dot LLC, a Nevada limited liability company. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Pop Dot LLC. This policy covers popdotskin.com and the emails we send. You can reach us at hello@popdotskin.com or by mail at Pop Dot LLC, PO Box 80295, Las Vegas, NV 89180.

What we collect

What you give us

• Waitlist: your email address, your first name if you add it, and the shade you pick.
• Store and wholesale requests: your email, store or company name, the shades you're interested in, and anything you write in the details box.
• Emails to us: your email address and whatever you choose to tell us.

What's saved automatically when you sign up

• The page or ad link that sent you here (for example, a tag showing you came from a particular Instagram ad).
• Your browser and device type, as your browser reports it.
• Your approximate country and state. Our hosting provider estimates these from your IP address. We don't save the IP address itself with your signup.

What we don't collect

We don't ask for payment details, phone numbers, home addresses, birthdays or photos. Nothing is for sale on this site yet. When it is, this policy will be updated before checkout opens.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not use analytics or advertising cookies. It doesn't use the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics or any similar tracking tool, and it doesn't follow you to other websites. Our fonts are stored on our own server, so no outside company sees your visit when a page loads.

If we ever add a tool like that, we'll update this policy first and explain how to opt out.

How we use your information

• To email you when the drop opens, and to send a few updates and teasers before it.
• To plan how many patches of each shade to make. For this, we look at totals, never individual people.
• To see which ads and links are working, by counting signups per link.
• To reply to store and wholesale requests and send line sheets.
• To keep the form safe from spam and abuse.
• To meet our legal obligations.

Your shade pick tells us which patch to make for you, and we use it only for that. We never use it to guess anything else about you, and we never use it to target ads.

We don't sell your information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for targeted advertising. We have never done this and have no plans to.

Nevada residents have a legal right to tell a business not to sell their information. We don't sell it, but if you want that request on record, our designated request address is hello@popdotskin.com. Put "do not sell" in the subject line and we'll confirm within 60 days.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the following, and only as needed to run Pop Dot:

• Our hosting provider, Vercel Inc. Vercel hosts the site and stores waitlist signups for us in the United States.
• An email delivery service that sends our emails for us. We'll name it here once we choose one, before the first email goes out.
• The law: when the law requires it, such as a valid court order, or when needed to protect someone's safety.
• A new owner: if Pop Dot is ever sold or merged, your information would go with the business. The new owner would have to follow this policy for anything collected under it.

Services that work for us may use your information only to do that work. They can't use it for their own purposes.

Ads on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok

If you reach us from an ad on Instagram or Facebook, Meta's own privacy policy covers what Meta knows about you and your click. The same goes for TikTok and Instagram when you follow our links to those apps. We don't send your email or signup details back to Meta. We don't upload our list to any ad platform, and we never use shade picks to build ad audiences.

Our emails

Every marketing email we send will include an unsubscribe link at the bottom and our mailing address. Unsubscribing takes one click, works right away, and we honour it within 10 business days at the latest, as the law requires. You can also reply to any email or write to hello@popdotskin.com with "unsubscribe" in the subject line.

Your rights, wherever you live

Some states give these rights by law. We give them to everyone:

• See the information we have about you.
• Fix anything that's wrong.
• Delete your information.
• Stop our emails at any time.

To make a request, email hello@popdotskin.com from the address you signed up with. If you write from a different address, we'll confirm by emailing the address on file. That's how we make sure no one else can see or delete your information. We'll respond within 30 days. Asking will never change how we treat you.

How long we keep it

• Waitlist signups are kept while the waitlist and launch emails are running, or until you ask us to delete them.
• If you ask us to delete your information, we'll do it within 30 days. We keep only your email address on a do-not-email list so we never email you by mistake.
• Store and wholesale requests are kept for up to two years so we can follow up.

How we protect it

Signups are kept in private storage that only the owner of Pop Dot can open, using a secret key. Information travels between your browser and our site over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No system is perfect. If a security incident ever affects your information, we'll tell you promptly and as the law requires.

Children

This site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has signed up, email hello@popdotskin.com and we'll delete their information.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Because we don't track you across websites, Do Not Track browser settings don't change anything on our site. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request not to sell or share your information. We already follow that for everyone.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. Before any big change to how we use your information, we'll email the waitlist before it takes effect.
